The Pricing Analyst works within the Pricing Team to develop budgets and fee arrangements that support the firm’s overall pricing strategy. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing budgets; analyzing historical and current firm financial data to determine best practices for success; modeling Alternative Fee Arrangements and special rate arrangements and proposing recommendations to increase efficiencies and profitability; processing proposal approvals for all practice teams; and preparing rate cards and pricing proposals to meet client deadlines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create, track and evaluate alternative pricing scenarios and budgets for transactional, disputes and IP matters
- Prepare pricing content for proposals, collaborating with Business Development for both existing and potential new clients for the firm domestically and globally
- Work directly with multiple teams firm-wide, including but not limited to senior management, lawyers, Practice Coordinators, Business Development, Finance, global Pricing colleagues, and other administrative departments
- Work closely with Legal Project Management to guarantee a smooth transition from proposal to matter opening, and conduct closed matter reviews
- Maintain and update Pricing Team databases and tools
- Pull and summarize data from multiple sources
- Prepare ad hoc analysis requests and reports on an as-needed or regular basis

Qualifications and job-related skills:
- Bachelor's degree required; preferably with a focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar capacity
- Experience within the legal industry (large law firm or legal department) or professional services management
- Strong analytical and data management skills including advanced knowledge of mathematical and basic statistical concepts, including fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, charts/graphs, etc.)
- Experience in financial modeling, report generating, and analytical reports. Power BI skills are a plus
- Experience analyzing and designing alternative fee arrangements
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast paced environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a key contributor
